12 Days of Christmas Songs Day 5 (Dec 19, 2024)
“Let every heart prepare him room.”
Jesus made room for others who were different, outcasts, “sinners.” We can make room for them, too. Charity is the pure love of Christ. “Pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love” (Moroni 7:48)
This is my desire. To cast out anything in my heart that doesn’t let this love in. To allow God’s love for me & others fill every nook & cranny of my poor imperfect heart.
I let too many things crowd my heart- things that really don’t matter. Worldly things. Busy things. Distracting things. Prideful things. They all edge him out. Time to clear space. Make room. Receive him! Let his transforming light in! And rejoice!
No more will sin & sorrow grow, nor infesting thorns. Not today, Satan!
