Thus We See

Do your ears (er, eyes?) perk up like mine when you read “thus we see” in the scriptures? Like, ooh, here comes the lesson! The moral of the story!

I have some good Thus We Sees in my life.

Thus we see that chewing gum during your first kiss is a really bad idea.

Thus we see that putting slime in the kids’ Easter baskets was also a really bad idea.

Ha! But there’s GOOD ones too.

Thus we see that the Come Follow Me program was inspired for the year 2020!

And THESE Thus We Sees are definitely true for me:

Hel. 3:27-30 “THUS WE MAY SEE that the Lord is merciful unto all who will, in the sincerity of their hearts, call upon his holy name.

“Yea, THUS WE SEE that the gate of heaven is open unto all, even to those who will believe on the name of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God.

“Yea, WE SEE that whosoever will may lay hold upon the word of God, which is quick and powerful, which shall divide asunder all the cunning and the snares and the wiles of the devil, and lead the man of Christ in a strait and narrow course... and land their souls at the right hand of God”

Call on His name; He is merciful!

Believe on His name; heaven is open to all!

Lay hold upon His word; cut through the delusion and get truth.

That last part! I don’t have time for the devil and his wiles! Let’s “divide asunder” the fluff and get to the core, the path to truth, to God, to eternal happiness. It’s not easy! The world is flipped upside down, calling “evil good and good evil.”

But if we lay hold upon the word of God, we have the advantage, we have POWER. We have scriptures! And a prophet who speaks for God directly to US! Thus we see, NOW is the time to trust that we, personally, can hear Him:

“In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.”

“Daily immersion in the word of God is crucial for spiritual survival, especially in these days of increasing upheaval.”

“It has never been more imperative to know how the Spirit speaks to you than right now.”

“I renew my plea for you to do whatever it takes to increase your spiritual capacity to receive personal revelation.”
