Ever had a mountain of clean laundry in your room so big it was blocking the path to the bathroom forcing you to take a giant leap over it every time you have to go? And then when you finally, FINALLY put that laundry away after a ridiculous amount of time you find yourself STILL leaping for days afterward? Over a pile of NOTHINGNESS? Cause it had become a part of you?

Or is that just me? 🤔

Joseph Smith had made a big mistake, that’s for sure. And as a result those 116 pages were lost. And ooohhh yeah, people had plans for those pages! Luckily God had a bigger plan, a plan set in motion years & years before. “I will not suffer that they shall destroy my work; yea, I will show unto them that my wisdom is greater than the cunning of the devil.” (10:43) 🙌

And guess what, God’s plan STILL included Joseph. He tells him, yes, you “lost your gift... and your mind became darkened” (2) but “thou art still chosen, and art again called to the work” (3:10)

Still chosen. Still called.

So, what do we do after we stumble?

“Therefore see that you are faithful and continue on unto the finishing of the remainder of the work of translation as you have begun.” (3)

Be Faithful & Continue On!

It’s a familiar message.

To the woman caught in adultery: “Neither do I condemn thee: Go, and sin no more.” (John 8:11)

To Saul, soon to be Paul: “Arise, and go” (Acts 9:6)

To Corianton, Alma’s son, “Let these things trouble you no more... Go thy way, declare the word with truth & soberness” (Alma 42:29, 31)

To the brother of Jared: “I will forgive thee... but thou shalt not sin any more... Go to work & build” (Ether 2:15-16)

To Oliver Cowdery: “I do not condemn you; go your ways & sin no more” (D&C 6:35)

Own your mistakes, turn to God, trust in Christ’s atonement, change your heart, FORGIVE YOURSELF, & move on!

The laundry is GONE. Stop acting like it’s still there! Stop wasting your energy jumping over it!

“I, the Lord, remember [your sins] no more” (D&C 58:42)

“Fear not to do good... Behold the wounds which pierced my side, and also the prints of the nails in my hands and feet; be faithful” (6:33,37)

He has overcome so that WE could overcome.

Be faithful & continue on❤️
